Crochet

With threads I connect to my past. Trying to anchor myself to the present moment. Threads are softness. Touch. Crocheting is a slow process. With thoughts and feelings inside. In every piece, hours, days, a lived part of life.

My first impression connected with bright grandmother's threads. I didn't know anything better than winding threads between the legs and back of a wooden chair. Later mom showed me the basics of handling the crochet hook-loop forward and backward, the most difficult thing was to make the first initial loop.

I had a crochet brand called “Carotto” – with little carrot brooches. I took part in fairs and even fashion shows. After moving to Denmark, I started making small fun things like jewelry and toys.
